Tasks

-Monitor costs and man-hours on a weekly basis, ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct job number and cost codes. -Support process improvement initiatives to make effective changes around financial systems, project financial control, reporting, and financial dashboarding. -Support Internal Project Status Review presentations for management. -Ensure cost, revenue accruals, and revenue adjustments are prepared and processed in a timely manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures. -Prepare accurate and complete variance analysis and reporting. -Collaborate with Project Managers to develop Units, T&M, and Earned Value Management cost tracking tools per project for forecasting and reporting. -Perform analytical review and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documentation. -Identify potential risks and opportunities as a part of recurring forecast analysis and communicate them to stakeholders. -Support Project Managers in the preparation, submission, and tracking of change orders. -Work with Project team and finance to drive monthly close. -Prepare other cost performance reports as needed or requested.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with Smartsheet is desirable but not required -Motivated, detail-oriented individual who proactively pursues and investigates underlying details of reported information to construct a comprehensive understanding of project related risks and issues. -Project cost controls experience is required. -Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel -Efficient at data collection and analysis using various enterprise systems. -Must be willing to travel up to 25% -Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. -Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems will also be considered. -Project cost controls experience in the electric utility sector preferred -Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to diagnosis and solve problems within limited time frames.
