Water/Wastewater Student Intern - Summer 2026

Assist with water/wastewater project field work, surveys, data entry, and reporting.

Tasks

-Attend construction sites to observe and monitor construction progress, report on deficiencies and complete construction progress reports as well as, pick up asbuilt information for records drawings. -Provide onsite contract administration including completion of the following tasks: Maintain and operate survey equipment and assist on a survey field crew. -Performing simple calculations, computer data entry, along with some exposure to CAD, design and crosstraining. -Role may involve being part of a survey crew with tasks involving level work, staking, roding, analyzing completed construction works and recording and submitting field notes and observations. -Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performing calculations for water and wastewater treatment projects and/or sewer or watermain design projects. -Attend project sites for the purposes of obtaining samples, arranging sample testing and compiling and interpreting results.

What You Bring

-Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Proven ability to learn and take direction -Knowledge of state and federal regulations, policies, and programs, are a plus. -Valid driver’s license and vehicle required -Physically able to work on construction sites in all types of weather conditions -Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take direction. -Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
