The Role

Overview

Assist in design and coordination of site civil engineering projects.

Tasks

-Coordinate with Jurisdictional Authority to determine design and submittal requirements and determine design solutions. -Mentor junior staff and delegate appropriate tasks. -Attend and contribute to client meetings. -Develop concept site layouts that are compliant with all Jurisdictional requirements. -Coordinate with subconsultants for support and design services. -Perform administrative tasks associated with preparation of specifications, contracts documents, and permit submittals. -Communicate effectively with managers and team members. -Help prepare site civil engineering calculations in support of the site development (stormwater pond sizing, culvert and pipe capacity analysis, hydrology calcs, etc). -Manage your time and organization of multiple tasks/projects. -Assist on tasks associated with design and plan production for site development projects (layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, site utilities, etc.).

What You Bring

-Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. -Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and specialty site civil engineering software (e.g., HydroCAD, Autodesk Hydraflow Extensions, etc.) as required. -Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam Revu. -Thrive in a collaborative team environment. -Bachelor's degree
