Tasks

-Engaging in daily contract administration duties as well as site inspection duties to monitor and document Contractor progress, workmanship, and conformance with the contract documents. -Overseeing the on-site construction of various transportation engineering projects. -Participating in opportunities for contributing to all phases of projects from proposal writing, preliminary and detailed design, construction inspection and construction administration support -Complying and working within COR certified environment and performing all duties in accordance with those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable legislation. -Serving as Associated Engineering’s Representative in communicating with the public and other stakeholders through the duration of the construction contract.

What You Bring

-Valid driver’s license required. This position requires use of personal vehicle in good working order to be used occasionally for business use, for which there is reimbursement. -Familiarity with road/bridge construction materials, methods, and process. -Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules. -Experience on transportation projects, with specific experience in roadway improvements. -Demonstrates interpersonal and organizational skills. -Computer skills including civil3d, word, excel, PDF/Bluebeam markups and windows applications. -Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality. -Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required. -Willingness to travel throughout the province. -Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution considered an asset. -3+ years in Contract Administration and Site Inspection.
