Tasks

-Assisting in producing detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction associated with projects. -Assisting in producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs. -Assisting with other departmental support tasks. -Begin developing virtual team skills and familiarity with interoffice execution. -Assisting in producing designs with efficient use of construction materials with an overall emphasis on ease of construction and completed product meeting the expectations of the client. -Assisting in developing conceptual layouts and cost studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks. -Assisting with site surveys if required by projects. -Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.

What You Bring

-Good communication skills, both verbal and written. -The ability to conduct site inspections that may involve walking on uneven surfaces, navigating various terrains within the facility, utilizing stairs and ladders, and compliance with site PPE and safety procedures. -Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. -Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.
