On-site engineer designing and overseeing commercial solar construction projects.

Tasks

-Supports client PV system monitoring, reporting and corrective action processes -Produces commercial and utility project proposals including modeling of energy output -Provides technical support to key clients -Leads design and production of all commercial project submittal and training materials -Generates design drawings for commercial projects for the purposes of permits, utility interconnection, and installation -Oversees specification and review of all commercial install team job bills of materials. -Follows National Electric Code (NEC) to ensure compliant design -Works closely with sales team to transition customer contracts to system designs including complete electrical schematics, mechanical designs and permitting packages

What You Bring

-Familiarity with CAD design software. AutoCAD preferred -Ability to support residential design team on an as needed basis -Ability to learn site and electrical survey skills for project proposal preparation -Strong customer facing written and verbal communication abilities -Electrical (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering Degree -Good interpersonal and communication skills -Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise complex parallel project activities -Minimum 1- 2 years relevant work experience -Willingness to participate in PV install projects on an occasional basis. -Ability to work as team player -Ability to learn and utilize HelioScope, Energy Toolbase, and PVSyst solar design software -Familiarity with key PV systems components, their function and key operating criteria -Familiarity with 3 phase commercial and industrial electrical services -Must have valid clean driver's license and the ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug screening
