Tasks

As an Overhead Lines Operative, you would be primarily responsible for delivering LV and HV overhead line works across the Northumberland County Durham Tyne & Wear/Teesside regions with Northern Powergrid’s catchment of responsibility. Complete all works to industry standards whilst adhering to scheduled work programmes. Complete all planned works and ensure that all work sites are left in a safe and tidy state. Deliver LV and HV Overhead line works (including the ad hoc requirement of shrouding) in line with company productivity expectations. Drive customer service and satisfaction by meeting prescribed appointments and delivering work safely and efficiently. Carry out construction, refurbishment and maintenance works at both LV and HV.

What You Bring

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within Integrated Utility Services, and we are looking for experienced Overhead Lines Operatives. Ability to earn professional qualifications A full UK driving licence Good communicator both verbal and written Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent time management Manual Handling, First Aid & Pole Top Rescue A keenness to learn, develop and take on challenges, even if certain tasks are less favorable. Good customer service skills This includes LV/HV rebuild, and refurbishment works, including wood and steel pole replacements and open wire and ABC re-stringing, LV/HV D pole works, CRM, ESQCR, LV steel pole replacements, shrouding works. A solution-based thinker, who will look to provide resolution to difficult scenarios. Competent and safe driver as well as having experience driving LGV’s and MEWPs. Good understanding of working safely on-site as well as a good grasp risk assessment and hazard mitigation.
