Tasks
-Attend Client’s monthly Safety Committee meetings (if any), serve as secretary, and prepare minutes of meetings for record submission. -Actively promote and reinforce a positive safety culture across the site. -Review Risk Assessments (RA) submitted by contractors and provide professional recommendations. -Perform daily site inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure worker safety, and verify compliance with safety regulations, including the safe handling of hazardous materials. -Manage, guide, and provide coaching to the Main Contractor and their Subcontractors to improve safety knowledge, skills, and competencies. -Verify that all first aiders and rescue team members are adequately trained and competent. -Attend Main Contractor’s monthly Safety Committee meetings. -Ensure that emergency drills are regularly conducted to test emergency response plans, identify gaps, and enhance preparedness. -Implement programs to encourage reporting of Near Misses and recognize Good Practices that help prevent workplace injuries or Dangerous Occurrences. -Participate in SJ’s weekly management site walks to address safety issues proactively. -Assist in conducting safety audits on the Main Contractor and Subcontractors in accordance with ISO 45001 standards. -Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations, and all relevant statutory requirements. -Attend Main Contractor’s weekly safety site walks and carry out ad-hoc safety inspections as required. -Review Main Contractor’s incident reports and provide recommendations for improvement.

What You Bring
-Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). -Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with contractors, consultants, and clients. -Strong knowledge of construction safety management systems, regulations, and best practices. -Attained certifications in Building Construction Supervisor Safety and Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2), with deployment for supervision under the contract.
