Tasks

-Coordinating and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a variety of projects. -Liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant project delivery. -Delegating tasks and providing guidance to junior team members. -Writing and reviewing technical reports and appendices on environmental assessments. -Sector Growth: Contribute your expertise to renewable energy, infrastructure, and housing projects. -Variety & Responsibility: From technical report writing to mentoring graduates and leading client meetings, no two weeks are the same. -Step Into Leadership: Develop junior team members while staying hands-on with delivery. -Conducting or supporting field surveys and interpreting technical data. -Supporting or leading project management to ensure scopes, budgets, and timelines are met.

What You Bring

We’re partnering with a specialist environmental consultancy delivering innovative water and renewable energy projects across the UK. They’re seeking an experienced EIA Consultant to join their growing Cardiff team. If you’re an experienced EIA professional looking to make a real impact, grow your career and work in a supportive, innovative consultancy, we want to hear from you. -Mix of public and private sector work (~50/50). -Able to produce clear, concise technical reports and assess environmental risks. -Environmental science, ecology, geology, hydrology, or civil engineering. -Knowledge of EIA processes and regulatory requirements. -Not suitable: Acoustics or air quality-focused candidates. -Initial 15-minute chat (role overview). -Bonus: Experience with renewable energy or infrastructure projects. -3–10 years’ experience in EIA consultancy. -Confident mentoring or delegating to junior colleagues. -Comfortable managing your own projects and contributing to multi-disciplinary teams. -Experienced in engaging with clients and regulatory authorities.
