Mechanical Tooling Engineer- Defence

Develop and support tooling/fixtures for defence assembly manufacturing.

Tasks

-Gather data and produce tooling specifications and requirements documentation. -Plan and report daily activities to meet project milestones. -Develop and prepare tooling and fixture solutions for manufacturing assembly. -Act as a liaison for manufacturing teams, resolving issues and defects related to existing tooling. -Challenge non-essential requirements to reduce unit production cost and design complexity. -Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams to resolve technical queries. -Support functional and environmental trials of tooling systems.
