Tasks
-Sustain and lead the design-to-order (DTO) process to enable the development and delivery of customized HVAC solutions for the Large Commercial Unitary market segment and products. -Define scopes, timelines, and allocate resources effectively to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget. -Identify and develop skillsets and talent to support the DTO business model. -Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring the availability of necessary components and materials for customized products. -Identify and communicate risks and develop mitigations for DTO initiatives, to ensure successful delivery. -Guide DTO team, ensuring adherence to product specifications and regulatory requirements. -Partner with manufacturing teams to enable manufacturing capability development and enable design for manufacturability (DfM). -Contribute to cost, delivery and quality plans and measurable outcomes for DTO initiatives. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, sales professionals, manufacturing engineers, supply chain representatives, design engineers, and designers to ensure the successful delivery of DTO initiatives. -Conduct technical and feasibility assessments to evaluate customer requirements and provide engineering and design recommendations for product customization. -Collaborate across product teams and plants to exchange and utilize best practices for DTO projects.

What You Bring
-Agility and tenacity to ensure delivery of external commitments while supporting critical strategic growth commitments. -Good written and verbal communication skills. -Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including UL, ISO, IEC, ASME, and AHRI standards relevant to industrial systems. -Experience delivering and supporting HVAC products from product development through production launch, commercialization, VAVE and sustaining engineering projects. -Track record of developing, coaching and collaborating with team members and operators. -Flexibility to act as individual contributor, coach and liaison to ensure technical delivery of unique customer requirements, while acting as technical contributor with product and manufacturing knowledge. -Analytical, problem solving and process-minded track record. -Experience delivering and supporting HVAC products from product development through commercialization, supporting VAVE and sustaining engineering projects -5+ years experience in product development, Design, or Manufacturing of HVAC systems. -Demonstrated understanding of design, manufacturing and quality practices and processes. Proficiency in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Equivalent, Required. Mechanical Engineering preferred. -Demonstrated understanding of design, manufacturing and quality practices and processes. Proficiency in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles preferred. Familiarity with GD&T required. -Creativity and problem-solving skills. -Demonstrated team player with ability to coach and enable others.
