Tasks

-Lead technical delivery across feasibility studies, concept development, and detailed design packages. -Mentor teams in digital adoption and efficiency improvements. -Hydraulic and structural design of dams (gravity, arch, earthen, rockfill), barrages, spillways, intakes, retaining walls, slope stability, foundation design. -Water resource modelling. -Promote sustainability and carbon insights in project delivery. -Drive benchmarking, standardization, and digital transformation initiatives. -Support business development through bid preparation, client engagement, and thought leadership. -Mentor professional development (e.g., CEng/IEng), encourage technical publications. -Achieve revenue targets for the Dams & Reservoir practice. -Manage multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, structural, civils, drainage, hydrology, planning). -Perform advanced engineering calculations in:Hydro-meteorological studies.Water resource modelling.Hydraulic and structural design of dams (gravity, arch, earthen, rockfill), barrages, spillways, intakes, retaining walls, slope stability, foundation design. -Provide technical solution support, monitor budgets and schedules, and ensure quality and compliance. -Present team capabilities to clients and global networks. -Enhance team capabilities for interdisciplinary collaboration and training.

What You Bring

-Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in dam and reservoir engineering. -Strong knowledge in:Hydro-meteorological studies.Dam hydrology and hydraulics.Structural calculations.Stability and overtopping analysis.Civil and drainage design. -Demonstrate expertise in dam and reservoir engineering domains such as hydrology, hydraulics, structural design, stability, and overtopping analysis. -Knowledge of risk analysis across environmental, construction, contractual, and operational stages. -Experience in digital transformation and process optimization. -Familiarity with UK policies, frameworks, dam risk assessments, and environmental legislation. -Proven strategic leadership and project management capabilities. -Strong analytical, people management, and mentoring skills. -Advanced technical expertise in dams, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures. -Hydro-meteorological studies. -Exposure to geotechnical and hydro-mechanical calculations (e.g., gates, lifting arrangements), instrumentation & monitoring, hydrodynamic interfacing, and structural/geotechnical integration. -Understanding of constructability aspects including methodology, assessment of existing structures, demolition planning, and installation sequencing. -Civil and drainage design. -Stability and overtopping analysis. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering (Dam & Reservoir discipline); Chartered Engineer status preferred.
