The Company
About Woods Air Movement
-In the 1940s it pioneered the world’s first axial aerofoil-bladed fan, inspired by aircraft wing design. -Over the decades it has grown through acquisitions and innovation, joining FläktGroup in 2016 and rebranding as Woods Air Movement in 2021. -Major projects include smoke and ventilation systems for buildings, tunnels, parking garages, oil & gas facilities, marine installations and industrial processes. -Unusual facts: in the 1950s the factory employed women winders because their fingers were better suited to winding motors, and they built flame-proof motors as early as the 1920s.
