Support space tech lifecycle, hardware/software integration, and cloud testing for AFRL.
-Support Hardware/Software-in-the-Loop and Cloud Computing Architecture development and administration tasks including: -Support full life-cycle technology implementation tasks, including: -Laboratory research, test and assessment design, technology validation testing and experimentation. -Developing and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts -Executing reliability test activities, such as HALT, accelerated aging, and HASS development -Support hardware and software integration for flight experiment launch -Develop, maintain, and upgrade RVE hardware/software-in-the-loop testing environments. -Re-engineering and re-design of software and hardware after testing -Offer detailed analysis to support mission development for space technology -Contributes to the development of presentations, engineering studies, cost estimates, Gantt charts and strategies to communicate with stakeholders. -Design and development of cloud computing architectures supporting RVE hardware/software-in-the-loop testing environments. -Performing reliability analyses, including allocations, predictions, and FMECAs -Space technology, spacecraft, and high-altitude balloon flight hardware design and fabrication, software/firmware design, and development. -Implementation of cross-domain solutions to move data between different classification levels, external connections, and point-to-point transmissions.
-AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE with SCI ELIGIBILITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience in the defense industry with at least 2 years of additional experience -Experience applying the standard practices of related engineering disciplines and architecture as they relate to engineering design. -RMA experience such as: -Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution. -Professional Engineer License -Ability to modify standard practices and adapt equipment or techniques to solve a variety of problems -Ability to utilize precedents from previous approaches and modify to provide for the specialized requirements of new projects -Proficiency in CAD/BIM software, load calculations and energy efficiency standards.
