Piping Designer (CADworx/Plant3D/Revit BIM)

Arcadis

The Role

Overview

Create and lead 3D plant piping designs using CADWorx/Plant3D for process projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • cadworx design
  • p&id review
  • clash detection
  • 3d modelling
  • isometric drawings
  • compliance

Tasks

-Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design objectives for plant facilities. -Develop detailed piping designs, layouts, and models using Cadworx software based on project specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project-specific requirements in piping design, including material selection, sizing, and routing. -Collaborate with other designers, draftsmen, and engineers to integrate piping designs with the overall plant layout and systems. -Review and interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor data to incorporate accurate piping details into the design. -Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve interferences between piping components, equipment, and structural elements to enhance constructability. -Create 3D models of piping systems, equipment, and structures within the plant layout to optimize space utilization and ensure operational efficiency. -Generate isometric drawings, orthographic views, and material take-offs to support construction, fabrication, and installation activities.
