Special Inspector/Field Engineer

Overview

Perform inspections, review drawings, submit reports per NY codes for building projects.

Tasks

-Prepare and electronically submit daily reports -Perform scheduled inspection during the time assigned – inspect, review and submit reports according to NYS DOB code and approved drawings -Complete assigned inspection as scheduled by dispatch

What You Bring

-Extensive knowledge of industry standards -Ability to produce inspection reports according to company standards -Reliable means of transportation necessary. -Must be punctual, reliable with good attention to detail -Able to communicate effectively with a variety of project managers -Ability to read prints and find inspection locations -Ability to travel numerous job sites daily -Ability to work various shifts -Technical, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree pertaining to the Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.) a plus. -Candidates must be familiar with the New York City Building Code -ICC Commercial or Residential Certification required. -Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic -Authorized to work in the U.S with a valid driver license -Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. -NYS PE, Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree with field experience -Organized and efficient -Ideal candidates must hold certifications from ICC, AWS, NICET and/or ACI including:
