Overview

Manage commercial, cost, and contract aspects for Welsh Water AMP8 project.

Tasks

-Prepare and manage subcontracts to ensure they reflect agreed scope and terms. -Implement mitigation and opportunity plans. -Lead, mentor, and develop a small commercial team. -Prepare and finalise project accounts in a timely manner. -Maintain thorough records for audits and cost assurance. -Support the professional growth and performance of your team members. -Monitor actual costs against baseline estimates, identifying and resolving variances. -Flag any disputed or withheld costs promptly. -Produce detailed reports on cost performance and forecasts. -Lead robust cost estimates aligned to project scope. -Administer contracts effectively, issuing early warnings and maintaining compliance. -Deliver accurate, live forecasting aligned with project programmes. -Manage and support commercial and procurement strategies, ensuring tender processes are correctly followed. -Monitor and report on identified efficiencies and variances.

What You Bring

-The confidence to challenge decisions and drive continuous improvement. -Excellent negotiation, estimating, and stakeholder management skills. -Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or CICES). -Strong understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. -A degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar. -Proven experience managing complex, multi-million-pound projects.
