The Role

Manage contracts, risk, and billing for architectural projects.

Tasks

-Develop and implement best practices for contract management and document control. -Draft, review, and negotiate client, consultant, and contractor agreements -Prepare contract summaries and risk assessments for leadership review. -Support resolution of claims, disputes, or contract performance issues. -Provide input into fee proposals, budgets, and project forecasts. -Administer change orders, addenda, and subconsultant agreements. -Prepares all billings for Consultants (i.e. Engineering, Design Partners, etc.) -Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks. -Stay current with changes in contract law, professional liability, and industry standards -Advise project managers and design teams on contractual obligations and deliverables. -Ensure all contracts comply with legal, insurance, and company policy requirements. -Mentor junior contract administrators or project staff. -Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align billing, invoicing, and cost controls with contract terms. -Monitor project milestones, variations, extensions of time, and fee adjustments. -Responsible for coordinating all architectural functions from the receipt of RFPs and proposals through the completion of construction.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of standard form agreements -Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word) -Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills -Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently -Minimum 8 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within an architectural, engineering, or construction environment -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field -Attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset -Understanding of architectural project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at Risk, etc.) -Experience with large-scale, multi-disciplinary design projects
