Tasks

This role will provide support to EMP Generation to fulfil the role of Project Supervisor Design Process on a number of projects in various phases of planning, development and construction. The role will also provide mentorship and support to existing staff undertaking the role. -Ensure that the work of designers is co-ordinated to ensure safety. -Prepare a Safety File for the completed structure and give it to the Client. -Support any PSDP competency evaluations that need to be completed both internally and externally -Identify hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time related aspects of the project. Where possible, eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks. -Communicate necessary control measures, design assumptions, or remaining risks to the PSCS so that they can be dealt with in the Safety & Health Plan. -Prepare a written Safety & Health Plan for any project where construction will take more than 30 working days or 500 person days or where there is a particular risk. -Provide support and mentoring to newly appointed PSDP’s within the company -Working closely with EMP design teams/external Contractors to ensure design coordination has been carried out effectively -Complete lessons learned exercises to drive improvements within the PSDP process within the business

What You Bring

12 months -Design/Design experience in the Generation or utility business -Minimum Level 7 NFQ in Health & Safety/Engineering or similar discipline -Project Supervisor Design Process Training -Minimum 5 years experience in a Construction or Health & Safety role, with a minimum of 3 years experience in undertaking the PSDP role on capital projects. -Experience of Generation Utility Construction to include Solar farm projects, Thermal projects or Onshore & Offshore Wind Farm Projects
