Tasks

Operate and maintain both electromagnetic (EM) and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) subsurface utility locating equipment according to manufacturer and industry standards.• Conduct thorough site investigations to locate and mark underground utilities, including sanitary and storm drain networks, electrical, gas/fuel, water, and telecommunications.• Utilize specialized equipment and tools to accurately identify subsurface utility lines, features, structures, etc.• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure utility information is integrated into project plans.• Maintain detailed records and reports of utility locations and conditions.• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to facilitate project progress.• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations while on-site.• Travel extensively to various project sites across the country, providing support wherever needed.• Collect survey field data to document findings and support mapping efforts, as needed.

What You Bring

Experience using EM induction and GPR equipment for subsurface utility investigations.• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in utility locating preferred.• Proven experience as a Utility Locator or in a similar role.• Strong knowledge of utility locating techniques and equipment.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice.• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
