Dillon Consulting: Engineering Graduate Scholarship

Description

• Assist with site investigations and condition assessments
• Drafting of ongoing and new projects using CAD software
• Assist project managers with multi-disciplinary projects
• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs including:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Assist with contract administration tasks including construction layout, construction observation, contractor submittal review, progress payment preparation and responding to requests for information
• Complete design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion
• Complete review of safe work practices and performing risk assessments for employee tasks
• Contribute to business development activities including client need research, preparation of project proposals and presentations
• Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Requirements

• Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, specifications and good engineering practices will be considered an asset
• A degree in engineering from University of Waterloo
• A variety of EFAP tools and online resources to support well-being are available to all employees.
• Engineering studies
• Proficient in the use of current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or InRoads software will be considered an asset
• One to two years’ co-op or work experience with exposure to consulting is considered an asset
• Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
• The ability to anticipate, examine, and adopt new and innovative solutions is a crucial driver for the continual and progressive advancement of our business performance. • Understand project design and implementation activities, including: development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering and contract administration will be considered an asset
