The Role
Overview
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems in a biopharma facility.

Tasks
-Participate in training programs to develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge of new technologies relevant to electrical and instrumentation maintenance. -Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other designated tools. -Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. -Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. -Schedule, complete, and assign Work Orders in a timely manner. -Calibrate and maintain instrumentation devices such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and analytical instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. -Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry standards. -Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. -Responds to corrective breakdown work and troubleshoots route cause analysis with Manufacturing.

What You Bring
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment. -Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, or off-hours as needed to support maintenance activities and respond to emergencies. Initially, role is a day’s role approx. 39 hrs per week but there may be a requirement to transition into a shift role at a later stage. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization. -Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation. -Experience with instrumentation calibration, configuration, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025. -Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. -Computer Literacy. -Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a biopharmaceutical or similar regulated industry. -Strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes (NEC, IEC). -Time served in an engineering technical degree or diploma, or Solas advanced craft certification to level 6, or equivalent. -Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits and control systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
