The Role

Overview

Operate HGV Class 1 tankers to collect, transport and dispose of liquid waste.

Tasks

-Ensure vehicles and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and presented to company standards. -Operate HGV Class 1 vacuum tankers for the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of liquid waste, sludge, and other materials. -Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to coordinate routes and schedules efficiently. -Support team members and assist with training and mentoring when required. -Represent Quest Waste Management professionally on client sites, maintaining high standards of customer service and site conduct. -Carry out both local and nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring adherence to driving hours, route plans, and client schedules. -Safely load and unload materials using appropriate hoses, fittings, and pumping systems. -Adhere strictly to environmental, and Health & Safety regulations at all times. -Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, disposal notes, and waste transfer documentation. -Carry out tank cleaning and decontamination work as required in line with operational procedures. -Report any incidents, defects, or near misses promptly to management. -Complete pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.

What You Bring

-Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors. -Strong teamwork and communication skills. -Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points). -Practical, hands-on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. -Basic IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes. -Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain). -Driver CPC (required). -Tachograph Card (required).
