Cost Controller – EPCM Projects

Overview

Manage cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for EPCM projects.

Tasks

-Coordinate with procurement and contract administration to track committed costs and invoice progress -Develop and maintain cost control systems to monitor budget performance across engineering, procurement and construction workstreams -Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost engineering and control practices at BBA -Collaborate with project teams to establish and manage cost baselines, forecasts and change management processes -Track actual vs. budgeted costs, identify variances and proactively recommend corrective actions -Produce periodic cost reports tailored to client and project needs, including earned value management when applicable -Support project estimates, cost risk analysis, cash flow modelling and financial reporting

What You Bring

-Rigorous and ethical -Efficient, both at the office and the work site -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance or a related field -Asset: experience carrying out these functions on projects in the mining, energy or heavy industry sectors -More than five years of relevant experience in cost control on EPCM or capital projects -Proficiency in cost-control software and tools (e.g., Excel, Prism, EcoSys, SAP or similar) -Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec. -Asset: experience carrying out these functions on international projects -Solid knowledge of project control principles, project life cycles and industry best practices -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
