Operate heavy civil/marine equipment and perform maintenance on construction sites

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Troubleshoot any issues associated with the crane, barge, and propulsion equipment -Dredging using a clam bucket or drag-line as well as hook work -Assembly and disassembly of the crane and barge for maintenance or mobile projects -Supports technicians in completing tasks as needed -Safely and effectively operate various types and sizes of heavy civil construction equipment including but not limited to dozers, tractors, scrapors, loaders and excavators. -Follow all company safety policies and procedures. -Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instruction of on-site management. -Setting wood, concrete, vinyl, and sheet pilings for dock supports, seawall slabs, house foundations, etc. -Rigging for above activities as well as for other types of material and equipment loads -Professionally maintains and cleans equipment as assigned -Safely transports and moves equipment as assigned, using lifts and Forklifts -Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements. -Keeps the lot clean and organized as instructed by management -Perform daily maintenance of crane, barge, and propulsion equipment

What You Bring

-Ability to operate cranes performing duty cycle work. -Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations. -Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs. -Industry level knowledge of safety and work site hazards -NCCCO Certified -Availability and willingness to work out of town and travel to project location. -Proficiency in pre-shift inspections and able to identify mechanical issues. -Ability to operate both hydraulic and friction cranes. -Minimum 5 years’ of experience as an operator on Marine/Heavy Civil construction projects. -Understand construction safety standards and productively work safely. -Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. -TWIC Card
