Tasks

-Run project team meetings raising specific safety concerns -Compliance Assurance - Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess compliance levels. -Communication and Training - Communicate safety expectations, initiatives, and updates. -Risk Assessment and Management - Lead the identification and assessment of risks associated with construction projects. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate threats. -Manage, direct and hold accountable all RCC project personnel to ensure that objectives and targets, as set out in the Project Management plan, are monitored, achieved and/or exceeded. These include safety objectives. -Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and performance. -Incident Management - Oversee the investigation of safety incidents and near misses. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes. -Safety Program Leadership - Provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs. -Participate in ‘Risk Workshops’ to identify WHS opportunity and risk

What You Bring

-Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field. -Team Player- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, project managers, and external stakeholders. -Sector Experience- Proven experience in safety management in the construction industry. -Attention to Detail- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards. -Skills & Expertise- Familiarity with safety management systems and their implementation. Previous involvement in safety training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
