Overview
Senior civil engineer overseeing site works, quality, safety and team mentoring.

Tasks
-Keep accurate records- diaries, photographs, marked up drawings, etc and ensure engineering team do the same. -Understand the project quality management plan and the roles and responsibility detailed within it -Record and share lessons learnt and raise the profile of the engineering team. -Carry out spot checks personally to ensure that the project processes / systems are on track. -Be aware of your own and the engineers’ responsibilities within the SMP. -Responsible for materials forecast, procurement and reconciliation. -Help collate and site data for inclusion in Daily Progress Reports. -Undertake buildability reviews of the design information -Champion best practice including new and advancing technology. -Responsible for the adherence of project team to information management procedures and requirement -Support the overall project quality goals agreed in the SMP. -Raise, complete and close-out NCR’s, ensuring that registers and records are maintained and filed within Workspace -Management of safe systems of works and quality management. -Responsible for the production, review and monitoring of construction methodology documentation including RAMS and ITP's to ensuring compliance with the company’s quality management system and the employers requirements. -Support management of supply chain during construction: progress, co-ordination and feedback -Be aware of responsibilities from the Quality policies and support the implementation of Quality Ripple: -Ensure all required permits adhered to. -Ensure you fully understand and apply the requirements of all HSEQS policies relevant to your site. -Be responsible for the correct implementation of the quality management system, where it affects your daily activities. -Maintain and collate quality records -Manage the Request For Information (RFIs) -Manage the production and implement the Inspection and Test Plan (ITPs) for your section of the works -Engage in Safety Ripple programme -Ensure that For Construction drawings are available and checked at least two weeks prior to implementation. -Provide input to health & safety plan, risk assessments, method statements and task briefings. -Responsible for production / review / monitoring of RAMS -Assist in the management of the SMP: -Perform the role of temporary works supervisor or coordinator. -Responsible for production of as-built documentation from site. -Perform the role of existing services coordinator.

What You Bring
-Excellent IT knowledge including use of AUTOCAD and Microsoft suite. -Good communication skills with client representatives, site team and operatives -Be able to perform the role of Appointed Person for Lifting. -Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion. -3-5year previous -Full Driving Licence. -Degree/HNC, or equivalent, in civil engineering desirable.
