The Role

Overview

Oversee site crews, subcontractors, budgets, quality, and punch lists on flooring projects.

Tasks

-Field verifies unit measurements as necessary. -Oversee subcontractor / crew relationships on each project. -Ensure crews maintain jobsite cleanliness and free of trash. -Primary point of contact for onsite personnel. -Represent Renova One at weekly jobsite meetings. -Ensure crews utilize proper means/methods of installation (trowels / rollers, spread rate coverages, sealer compatibility, etc.). -Negotiate with other subcontractors onsite regarding forklift use. -Confirm weekly subcontractor production for weekly pay. Resolve issues / concerns between project management and crews. -Identify change orders as they arise and work with Project Manager to develop cost and scope. -Oversee quality control and ensure installation meets Renova Ones expectations -Document existing jobsite conditions that need such as sloping, cracking, curved walls, etc. Coordinate with other subcontractors to correct issues and ensure substrates are acceptable prior to installation. -Schedule and ensure timely completion of punch lists with onsite superintendents and crews. -Ensure strict adherence to job budget / cost. Work with Project Manager to identify issues when quantities are incorrect. -Identify crew back charges as necessary for wasted material, failure to properly manage material. -Develop comprehensive understanding of project specifications, manufacturer required installation methods, patterns (running bond, stacked bond, herringbone, ashlar, east/west, north/south) and ensure crews are accountable. -Hold crews accountable for material mismanagement. -Monitor HVAC installation to ensure proper acclimation of resilient carpet materials to meet manufacturer requirements. Coordinate proper moisture testing and/or moisture mitigation recommendations.

What You Bring

-Confident decision maker and able to understand how decisions impact the organization as a whole -The position is 90% walking projects with moderate lifting / carrying materials. -Valid Driver's License is required -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to develop and maintain outstanding relationships with clients and subcontractors. -Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. -Proven ability to help bring projects in on time, and on budget -Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. -Flexible and responsive on evenings and weekends when circumstances dictate. -Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints, drawings and specifications. -Procore experience preferred -Knowledge of flooring products and installation procedures. -Independent problem solver with the ability to anticipate problems and implement corrective measures when necessary.
