Tasks

-Assist in the preparation of project proposals and budgets related to utility services. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding utility services, including rules and provisions of Act 36. -Conduct site visits to assess utility needs and verify installations. -Assist in the development of utility risk analysis during design and project development. -Review and interpret utility plans and drawings. -Coordinate utility services for engineering projects, including water, wastewater, gas, electricity, and telecommunications. -Coordinate SUE subconsultant operations. -Monitor and report on the progress of utility installations and relocations. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of utility services into project plans. -Maintain accurate records and documentation of utility coordination activities. -Coordinate with utility companies to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. -Coordinate with staff assisting in utility coordination.

What You Bring

-Effective communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Strong knowledge of utility services and regulations. Experience with SUE is preferred. -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional Engineering license in SC is a plus. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility coordination or a related role. -Open to position being in any of D|Fs six offices in South Carolina but Columbia, Florence or Charleston Office is preferred. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. -Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. -Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
