Tasks

-Maintaining good communication with supervisors, team members, and members of the public -Undertaking emergency and out-of-hours call-out work on a rota basis -Setting out temporary traffic management in line with NRSWA requirements -Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance tasks such as pothole repairs, patching, kerbing, drainage works, and minor civils -Operating plant and machinery including mini diggers in accordance with CPCS certification -Participating in winter service operations, including salting and snow clearance using HGV gritting vehicles -Completing required documentation including risk assessments, job records, and vehicle checks -Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and safety procedures

What You Bring

-Valid HGV licence (Category C) and Driver CPC Card -First Aid at Work certificate -Flexible and willing to participate in a standby rota for emergency and winter maintenance -NRSWA Operative Card (Units including Signing, Lighting & Guarding; Excavation; and Reinstatement) -Knowledge of using handheld digital recording tools or tablets -Previous experience in highways maintenance or civil engineering works -Traffic Management (LANTRA) certification -Strong awareness of Health & Safety and safe site working practices -CPCS Card for mini digger (excavator below 10 tonnes) -Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions. -Experience working on contracts within London boroughs or other urban environments
