Overview
Construction laborer handling site cleanup, material loading, equipment operation, and safety tasks.

Tasks
-Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time in unfavorable weather conditions -Report injuries and other accidents to the foreman -Ensure compliance to customer requirements and completed activities -Inspect machines, equipment and assist with everyday maintenance -Complete required safety training annually -Assist the operator with excavation of trenches, placement of shoring and backfilling procedures -Prep and placement of asphalt -Observe and promote safety compliance -Inspect and operate hand tools for various activities -Maintain safety of company vehicles and ensured optimal utilization -Assist with rigging and setting of structures -Assist coworkers in ensuring site is clean and organized at the end of each shift -Maintain neat and clean work area -Attend and participate in morning and afternoon job specific safety / huddle meetings as needed -Placement of conduit in open trenches -Potholing existing utilities -Forming and pouring of concrete -Operate various tamping machines as per specifications -Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing of jobsite materials -Dig entry and exit pits

What You Bring
-OSHA 10 -Previous experience and knowledge of underground utility construction -Excellent vision or the use of prescription lenses -Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies -Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds -Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time -Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear. -Ability to follow instruction -Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions -High school or equivalent education -Valid driver’s license -Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership and clients -Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement -Must be able to safely operate company vehicles or workaround heavy equipment and machinery -Willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends -Valid Driver’s license -Subject to pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR -Must be able to ascend and descend ladders -Experience in operating small equipment and hand tools -Must be able to work in small/confined areas -Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination -Willing to work in inclement weather -Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work -Must be able to meet physical demands of the position; ability to lift up to 75 pounds -Ability to work a flexible schedule to include: nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed. -Reliable transportation to various jobsites in the area
