The Role

Overview

Supervise civil works, coordinate sites, manage road opening licences, ensure quality & safety

Tasks

-Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to quality standards. -Oversee and coordinate daily civil works activities on multiple sites. -Conduct site inspections and record keeping in line with QA/QC documentation. -Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident investigations. -Liaise with ESB representatives, clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders. -Prepare, submit, and manage all road opening license applications with local authorities. -Ensure compliance with ESB specifications, safety regulations, and project procedures. -Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports, site diaries, and photographs. -Enforce company and ESB safety procedures, ensuring a zero-incident culture on site. -Support project handover documentation and as-built records -Coordinate with councils and permit-granting bodies to ensure compliance with reinstatement and traffic management requirements. -Assist with resolving any technical or quality-related issues on site. -Report progress and potential risks or delays to the Project Manager. -Ensure environmental controls and reinstatement standards are met. -Supervise subcontractors, plant, and material deliveries to ensure efficient workflow. -Maintain records of permits, reinstatement certificates, and associated documentation.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of ESB specifications and safety standards desirable would be beneficial. -Full, clean driving licence. -Strong understanding of civil construction methods, reinstatement standards, and quality control. -We have a standard, consistent and fully integrated health, safety, environment, and quality system within the business. -Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil supervision, preferably within utility or ESB-related projects. -Proficiency in MS Office and site management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SiteView, or equivalent). -Experience managing Road Opening Licenses (ROLs) and liaising with local authorities would be beneficial.
