Tasks

-Develops project timelines based on capacity from internal departments, outside vendors, and knowledge of production and delivery schedules and communicates with customer accordingly. -Prices projects using manufacturers’ quotes and price lists. -This role operates in a home office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phone, and/or photocopier. -Provides estimates, budgets, ROM pricing, and/or project guidance to general contractors as needed. -Attends virtual departmental meetings as required. -Details doors, frames and hardware in the schedule; creates elevations; confirms technical aspects of order and ensures that all fire and life safety codes are met. -Reads plans and project manuals to determine product specifications and material requirements. -Writes cost competitive proposals for bidding projects. -Details, engineers and prepares accurate submittals to meet project specifications. -Enters project information into estimating software. -This position requires the employee to frequently remain in a stationary position, constantly operating a computer. The employee must occasionally move or transport up to 25 pounds of office supplies or equipment. -Learns new software programs as company grows and industry advances.

What You Bring

-Analytical and problem-solving skills -Knowledge of Building Codes is helpful -DHI accreditations preferred. -Familiar with project management software -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work independently and collaboratively -Attention to detail and accuracy -This position requires vision and hearing abilities. The employee must be able to communicate verbally and visually with customers, vendors, and coworkers. The employee must be able to detect, discern, and convey information accurately and effectively. -Experience with Comsense preferred. -Experience: 10 years’ minimum experience in door & hardware industry preferred. -Reviews construction documents, specifically Division 8 architectural requirements, and understands scope of work to bid. -Strong organizational and time management skills -Education: High School Diploma or GED required. -Efficiently handles multiple tasks and projects, while meeting project specific deadlines. -Hollow Metal and Division 8 hardware knowledge -Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
