Tasks

-Review financial results versus budget and prior periods, identifying trends and concerns -Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for the current team, while conducting performance evaluations -Ensure compliance at various levels (local, state, and federal) -Monitor and analyze financial accounting data -Work closely with outside CPA firm regarding preparation of corporate income tax returns and review the tax provisions -Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, update of rolling 3-month cash forecast -Oversee filing and/or support of the filing of sales/use, and personal property tax returns. -Lead the company’s annual financial audit -Review and approve monthly account reconciliations -Own month and year-end close processes, delivering results on time with high accuracy -Oversee technical accounting such as ASC 606 and ASC 842 -Oversee consolidation and inter-company elimination entries monthly -Plan and implement policies and procedures that align with the company’s financial strategy -Manage the company’s financial, payables, cash receipts, and assets

What You Bring

-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports -Big 4 (3+ years) and private industry experience (3+ years) are strongly desired -7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong knowledge of general ledger and consolidations accounting; 2+ years as a people manager -Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams -Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Finance; CPA highly desired -Must possess a positive attitude and ability to adapt to changes in workload and job requirements -Ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute in a high-pressure environment -Knowledge of ASC 606 and 842 is a must
