The Role
Overview
Lead new product launch, line balancing, and continuous improvement in automotive manufacturing.

Tasks
-Lead throughput and bottleneck analysis to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate constraints. -Present the station readiness plan to steering committee and to the customer -Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases. -Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing initiatives. -Train the team in customer new product introduction process -Be part of new vehicle program launches shaping the future of manufacturing industry. -Collaborate with global engineering experts in a fast-paced, innovative environment. -Ensure that the data for ergonomic evaluations using digital tools such as Process Simulate Human or ErgoMan is provided to the responsible team -Track and report launch metrics including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and throughput performance. -Lead and manage a team on conducting time and motion studies, develop standardized work, and balance operator workloads to align with takt time using Pre-determined Time Standards like MTM, MOST or MODAPTS -Validate PFMEA and process documentation for compliance and launch approval. -Provide direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement design and process improvements. -Present the line balance to the core launch team which will include product, engineering and operational team members.

What You Bring
-Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (Green Belt or higher). -Experience with lean manufacturing, line balancing, and standardized work principles. -Experience with SAP, MES, or similar production tracking systems. -Strong working knowledge of PFMEA, lean methodologies, and ergonomic design. -Familiarity with Tecnomatix Process Simulate, Power BI, or other digital manufacturing tools. -Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for line layouts and analysis. -Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline) or relevant work experience -Working knowledge of throughput simulation and material flow optimization. -7 to 10 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly environment. -Experience supporting vehicle launch, retooling, or model change programs. -Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
