The Role
Overview
Supervise maintenance team and ensure equipment reliability in aluminum extrusion plant.

Tasks
-Troubleshooting & Repairs: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in the facility. Lead the team in diagnosing and repairing failures to minimize production downtime. -Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repair logs, equipment history, and reports. Generate regular reports to management on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and issues. -Team Development: Provide coaching and training to maintenance personnel, developing their skills and encouraging continuous improvement. Ensure team members are up to date with industry best practices and relevant technologies. -Preventive Maintenance Program: Oversee and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment, including extruders, presses, ovens, and auxiliary systems. Ensure equipment performance and reliability are optimized. -Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead, train, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians and staff to ensure the timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities across the production facility. -Manufacturing plant with exposure to industrial equipment, hot surfaces, and elevated noise levels. -Equipment Maintenance: Ensure routine checks, repairs, and servicing of aluminum extrusion machinery and auxiliary equipment. Maintain detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. -Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and tools inventory, ensuring availability of critical components to minimize downtime. Order and maintain supplies, tracking inventory levels to prevent shortages. -May be required to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on production needs. -Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations. -Budget & Cost Control: Assist in the development of the maintenance department's budget, ensuring effective cost control. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement improvements where applicable. -Production Support: Collaborate with the production team to plan and execute maintenance activities around production schedules, minimizing disruptions to operations. -Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in efforts to improve equipment performance, processes, and work methods to increase operational efficiency.

What You Bring
-Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes, machinery, and equipment maintenance. -Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call duties, if necessary. -Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and other relevant tools. -Ability to lead, train, and develop a high-performing maintenance team. -Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations within an industrial environment. -Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in various industrial environments. -Must be able to work in confined spaces and noisy environments. -High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. -Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. -Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally. -Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and industrial automation. -Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. -Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
