Tasks
As a Finance Analyst you will be working within the established Submarines Finance Business Support Team. You will make an invaluable contribution by providing financial analysis and insights that improve performance and support strategic decision making -Lead the preparation of forecasts, including setting timetables, communication of any issues, preparation of reporting packs and leading the consolidation and input into VBM. -Participate in and helping drive forward the Finance Service Delivery Model, to help prepare the business for growth and efficiency -Maximise the use of standardised models, ensuring the accuracy, meeting of deadlines and ensuring that all work is compliant -Work with the Business Support Team (BST) to ensure collective on time delivery of the BST's deliverables (to include reporting, reconciliations and other activities), preparation of month end statutory actuals and communication of any issues liaising with Defence HQ, Finance Service Centre or external auditors where required. -Actively work with the business and associated finance business partners, supporting the Improvement Journey to Process Excellence and pro-actively engaging in improvement activities. -Supporting decisions and scenario analysis as requested by the Business and Business Partners, in line with agreed timescales.

What You Bring
To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join our Rolls-Royce team in Derby. -Contract review process experience. -Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred). -Basic experience in preparation of Business Evaluations/ business cases -Forecasting, budgeting and cost accounting experience. -Knowledge of financial systems (SAP/HFM). -Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
