Overview

Lead cost control for large, complex construction projects, managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Tasks

-Create, analyze, and reconcile project cash flow against forecasts and schedules. -Develop and maintain the project work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS). -Interface and collaborate with internal functional groups and external consultants/contractors. -Track, monitor and forecast project cost to define estimate at completion and identify cost overruns. -Review and coordinate invoices approval. -Support project change management, including claims and change requests. -Develop and implement cost controls processes, practices, and work instructions. -Support the goals and objectives of the Green Line Program, ensuring adherence to project controls processes and audit requirements throughout the project lifecycle. -Support procurement by verifying and coding commitment against proper control account. -Establish and manage project control budget. -Establish, oversee, maintain, and provide analysis on cost controls reporting including earned value management (EVM), dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPI).

What You Bring

-Success in this position requires excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills. -Preference will be given to applicants with experience in project management and/or cost management software (for example: InEight, EcoSys, PeopleSoft, Primavera P6), Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and previous experience developing and implementing processes. -LRT mega project experience greater than $1B is an asset. -Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field plus at least 8 years of related professional experience. -Experience in multi-billion dollar project is required. -Experience leading cost controls for a large, complex, high-profile, multi-partnered construction project. -Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. -Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) will be considered an asset. -Experience controlling projects under different contract structures (for example: design-build, construction management, design-bid-build).
