Tasks

-Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business; -Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. -Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management; -Field work and overnight travel may be required. -Managing and preparing NPDES permit applications for industrial dischargers to surface waters and publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) and negotiating permit conditions. -Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables; -Support clients in addressing NPDES violations by conducting investigations, preparing documentation, developing corrective action plans, and coordinating with legal counsel and regulatory agencies to facilitate resolution and maintain compliance. -Managing and conducting surface water quality evaluations, compliance planning, and reasonable potential analyses. -Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals. -Provide technical oversight and input on the design, modification, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

-At least 8 years of experience in NPDES permitting and regulatory compliance for chemical, energy, and industrial manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) -Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G.) (preferred) -Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemistry, toxicology or a related field. (required) -Prior consulting experience. (preferred) -Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to water quality such as Section 402 of the Clean Water Act. (required) -Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. -Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) -Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required) -Experience managing and developing staff. (required) -Experience integrating permitting and water quality requirements into design and troubleshooting water and wastewater treatment systems. (preferred) -Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
