The Role

Overview

Oversee and coordinate MEP electrical work for complex data center projects.

Tasks

-Collaborate with project partner superintendents -Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment -Review construction documents for completeness and constructability -Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work -Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service -Develop a site logistics plan -Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule -Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules -Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies -Review and understand contract documents

What You Bring

-Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies -Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience -Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects -Minimum 15 years of construction experience -Minimum 10 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor -Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills -(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) -Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level -Current driver’s license -Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback -Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use -Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
