The Role
Overview
On-site tech leading Wi‑Fi/network installations, site surveys, activation, and emergency support.

Tasks
-Maintain and track inventory of hardware deployed or delivered on-site. -Serve as Aerwave’s on-site technical lead, bridging the gap between contractors, engineering, and PMs. -Respond to emergency field service requests and outages. -Diagnose and repair network hardware or low-voltage infrastructure issues. -Submit detailed daily field reports, including photos, test results, and project status updates. -Communicate findings and resolution paths to internal stakeholders. -Assist in punch-list creation and closeout documentation. -Conduct quality control checks and provide in-field troubleshooting. -Recommend installation strategies and highlight any field-level risks or obstacles. -Perform site walks to evaluate existing conditions and infrastructure readiness. -Adhere to safety procedures and regulations. -Validate successful device connectivity, signal coverage, and backhaul performance. -Identify and escalate issues requiring deeper technical investigation. -Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors. -Coordinate with engineering for final network activation and testing. -Document findings and share with engineering and project management teams. -Oversee on-site structured cabling, fiber, WiFi, and network hardware installations.

What You Bring
-Proficiency in the use of a computer, and software applications including Microsoft Office. -Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company. -Highly organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (multi-task). -Familiarity with testing tools: cable certifiers, OTDRs, light meters, RF scanners. -4+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage, cabling, or wireless network deployments. -Ability to work independently on active construction sites and occupied buildings. -Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or noisy environments. -Experience conducting site surveys and interpreting construction drawings. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet, and work in confined spaces or outdoor environments. -Maturity, professionalism, and good work ethic. -Must maintain a positive attitude and show adaptability to change. -Valid driver's license and clean driving record. -High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). -Basic knowledge of RF and wireless signal propagation principles. -Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% nationwide. -Easily takes initiative and works independently. -Strong knowledge of structured cabling (Cat6, fiber), WiFi access point installation, and PtP/PtMP wireless equipment.
