Overview
Manage field construction, ensure safe, cost-effective utility installation and restoration.

Tasks
-Promotes the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration. -Actively interacts with contract crews’ leaders to ensure contractor performance adheres to established metrics and policies/procedures. -Reviews maps, sewer videos, bore cards, and pull-back camera videos to ensure cross-bore prevention. -Fosters and promotes valued relationships with government entities, industry associates, company affiliates, and contractors. -May be required to periodically work beyond normal 8-hour day (at applicable overtime rate) to accommodate construction schedule and needs. -Attends pre-construction meetings with local municipalities to protect the interest of the company. -Partners with engineers and engineering technicians to develop best-value construction practices and cost estimations for large pipeline projects. -Assures activities and processes are implemented to ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of service to customers. Promotes and assures safe working environment and public safety. -Timely and accurate invoice payments to contractors. -Supports construction leaders, managers, and contractors in coaching and training of a geographically dispersed workforce. -Coordinates scheduling and resource planning of construction jobs. -Collaborates with field operations/construction services, field operations leaders, and construction managers to ensure internal/external crew efficiencies are achieved and consults with construction coordinators to determine the best construction practices (i.e., directional boring, trenching, restoration etc.) is employed for the project. -Follows proper processes outlined in pipeline construction contract. -Utilizes technology, tools, and planning techniques to improve process results. -Implements best practices while driving functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence, while promoting safety. -Works across geographic boundaries whenever necessary. -Manages construction cross bore prevention process to maximize capital spending efficiency and return on invested capital. -Review contractor camera crew invoicing, contractor daily progress reports, to ensure that the invoice is correct and to ensure contractor productivity is met. Ensures timely and accurate invoice payments to contractor. -Supports a project management and planning culture.

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of operations support systems, i.e., WMS, etc. -DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire -Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle. Excellent safe driving record is required. -Right to Work Poster (English and Spanish) If you have the right to work, don't let anyone take it away -Leadership experience -Completed construction projects that meet customer expectations and budget requirements. -High School Diploma Or equivalent -Must be physically able to negotiate variety of terrain and building structures. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. -Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to construction. -Experience working with pipeline contractor-paving and sewer contractors -Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating codes -Strong experience working with excel, work, power point, etc. -Construction Inspection experience -Time allocation expectations: 80% in the field, 20% office -All internal/external customer-responsive construction support. -Safe/efficient high-quality construction work that complies with policies, practices, and standards. -Demonstrated knowledge of gas operations including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response -Experience in estimating project costs and creating job orders -Ability to interpret construction drawings and operations maps -Collaboration among engineering, technical services, and construction on project designs. Positive relationships with external municipalities and local authorities. -Operations Engineer/Engineering Technician experience -Minimum of five (5) years underground utility construction experience -E-Verify Poster (English and Spanish) E-Verify Participation Poster English and Spanish
