Tasks
-Support implementation of safety and quality assurance programs across all project sites. -Leadership: Motivates and guides teams toward high performance; fosters collaboration and accountability. -Lead the procurement process for design consultants, including bid solicitation, leveling, and selection. -Lead project teams, ensuring all staff utilize project management tools effectively to streamline processes. -Engage with municipal entities, city councils, and the public during design and entitlement review processes. -Maintain master project schedules and ensure accurate cost control and reporting. -Review and approve work products from team members, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements. -Represent the company at industry and networking events to strengthen professional connections. -Coordinate with local jurisdictions to obtain necessary permits and approvals. -Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and participate in project interviews. -Prepare and execute Owner Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders. -Develop and manage high-level project budgets and schedules for proposed and active developments. -Manage and coordinate the design process, including selection of design teams, scope development, budgeting, and scheduling. -Conduct and facilitate regular team meetings, track action items, and monitor progress. -Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, consultants, and vendors. -Contribute to financial reporting and project health reviews. -Oversee value engineering, constructability reviews, cost studies, entitlement coordination, and permit processes. -Conduct monthly margin reviews and final project reconciliations. -Establish and maintain controls to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks affecting project success. -Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues promptly; develops practical, collaborative solutions. -Provide strategic insights and recommendations impacting departmental and organizational goals. -Work with local utility providers to manage infrastructure coordination and improvements. -Develop and review project risk assessments and constructability reports. -Oversee project closeout documentation and support post-construction activities. -Ensure proper coordination and documentation throughout entitlement and design phases. -Collaborate with ownership to align design expectations with project goals. -Guide and mentor project managers and engineers throughout all phases of construction.

What You Bring
-Proficiency with project management and construction software (scheduling, estimating, cloud-based platforms, PDF markups, Microsoft Office, 3D modeling, and Timberline). -Potential exposure to standard construction materials and chemicals. -Proven success managing large-scale commercial projects, including design-build delivery methods. -Strong knowledge of preconstruction processes, cost estimating, and project scheduling. -Valid driver’s license required for travel to job sites. -Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. -Organization & Time Management: Prioritizes workload effectively, balancing multiple complex projects. -Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl as needed. -Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. -Decision Making: Applies sound judgment; involves appropriate stakeholders in the decision process. -Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and accessing work areas under construction. -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. -Comprehensive understanding of construction trade practices and building codes. -Experience: Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction experience, including at least 5 years in a project management capacity. -Contract Law & Accounting: Familiarity with contract law principles and accounting best practices. -Safety Training: OSHA 10 or 30 certification required. -Requires close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. -Communication: Demonstrates clear, professional verbal and written communication; actively listens and responds effectively. -Primarily on-site at active construction projects, often exposed to outdoor elements, moving machinery, noise, and airborne particles.
