Tasks
The Mechanical Engineer will work with our engineers in a lead role on a variety of decarbonization/electrification projects to develop projects in feasibility stages all the way through design and construction. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with clients. -Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process -Work with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentation -Lead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systems -Field investigations to document existing conditions -Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements -Selection and calculations for design purposes

What You Bring
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred -New York State Professional Engineer's license is a plus -8-10 years of relevant experience -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Preferred: experience designing geothermal or district energy systems -Experience with Revit or AutoCAD -Well-rounded experience in HVAC and hydronic system design
