The Role

Overview

Design and develop instrumentation & control systems for pharma/biotech projects.

Tasks

-Provides drawing for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters. -Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards. -Develop and design control system architecture, control philosophy, instrument datasheets/lists and cable schedules with support from a Senior Engineer -Selects equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and fill out equipment schedules. -Provides information to Project Designer/Engineer for incorporation into specifications. -Organizes and maintains project files. Maintains a neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to information required by other team members. -Prepare typical I&C deliverable packages based on project requirements e.g. IFR, IFI, IFD, IFQ, IFP, etc. with support from a Senior Engineer -Researches design options and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer. -Display creativity and innovation by continually working to improve solutions, tools, methods and service delivery system. -Review and give feedback on stakeholder drawings. -Actively collaborate with the process design and project teams to support execution of successful project studies -This position is a safety sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and will, on occasion, attend activities at client sites where they will work in construction,process, packaging, manufacturing, research or other "non-administrative" areas -Keeps Project Manager informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services. -Conduct oneself with an uncompromising commitment to the welfare of our clients and each other. What You Bring

-Experience in any or all of the following but not essential: ATEX, Motor controls, CAD, PLC, GMP, DCS, Comms/Interfaces, Interlocks, SCADA, Block/Loop/Wiring diagrams, P&IDs, AF&IDSs and SOOs. -Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting. -General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline related area (Mechanical, Structural, Piping, Electrical or Process). -Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Electrical and/or Instrumentation & Controls. Preference will be given for demonstrable experience in AI&C design experience. -Familiar with code issues and ability to ask general questions would be advantageous. -Demonstrate collaboration with other engineering disciplines e.g. HVAC, Process, Electrical & BIM. -Growth Mindset -Exhibit the ability to build and sustain long term relationships of mutual value through teamwork. -Verifiable evidence of the ongoing CPD is encouraged. -Understands and applies UK, EU Standard Regulation
