Carpenter for construction, maintenance and restoration of timber structures at Windsor estate.

Tasks

-Source appropriate timber based on size, strength, and budget. -Operate workshop machinery and produce bespoke joinery items. -Use mobile IT technology to manage work tasks in real time. -Repair or remake custom joinery including benches, traditional estate gates, and fencing. -Promote and adhere to health and safety regulations and legislation. -Liaise effectively with tenants, suppliers, and other tradespeople. -Carry out general joinery and carpentry works across domestic, commercial, retail, and farm properties. -Perform external joinery repairs, including working at heights. -Assess and review additional carpentry or joinery refurbishment needs. -Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours maintenance. -Install and repair fixtures and fittings (e.g., door handles, locks, hinges, kitchen units, worktops). -Respond to emergency maintenance priorities.

What You Bring

-City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry. -Discretion and confidentiality in handling estate matters. -Full, clean UK driving licence. -Ability to work independently and take initiative. -Ability to work at height in compliance with safety standards. -Proven ability to deliver customer-focused services. -Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in carpentry. -Proficient in using milling machinery (e.g., cross-saw, planer, router). -Work flexibly as part of a team and independently. -Solid understanding of other building trades. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills. -Experience working collaboratively within a team.
