Tasks

-If not already certified, become certified in the UFM and 360 processes and facilitate debriefs to project personnel, as needed. Support the project in community outreach efforts, employee morale programs, and project recruiting efforts, including travel for career fairs, if needed. -Collaborate with People Operations Talent/L&D/Performance Management groups to coordinate and participate in project learning and talent requirements (e.g., Total Comp/Succession Planning, etc.). -Monitor and recommend improvements to existing human resources programs or procedures to ensure desired objectives and/or results are being achieved. -Coordinates process improvement opportunities to drive operational efficiencies by auditing HR data integrity on at least an annual basis. -Coordinate administrative tasks as needed such as data audits, record keeping, and reporting to project and regional management, etc. -Interact with employees, supervisors, and managers to answer questions and provide HR policy interpretation and guidance. -Process ETPs and other HRISemployee transactions, as needed. -Support the Sentinel HR Manager with employee relations investigations, problem resolution and recommended actions. -Assists in the coordination and implementation of employee engagement initiatives. -Support the Project Management Team and other internal customers to ensure processes in place are aligned with Bechtel HR policies, procedures, and guidelines. -Supports staffing efforts by partnering with project hiring managers and Talent Acquisitions. -Provide guidance to less experienced team members. Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager

What You Bring

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high degree of individual initiative, discretion, diplomacy, judgment, and accuracy. Must possess a proven record as a team player. -Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of HR factors and requires the skill to develop sound, practical solutions where guidelines are not well defined. Work well under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines. Strong organizational skills. -Relevant experience supporting HR project activities, preferably in an Engineering and/or Construction environment. Prior cross-functional support in at least two HR areas, such as staffing, policy administration, compensation, employee relations, training & development, or data analysis.) -Proficient in HR tools, including TalentWorks, Smart Staff, and Information Management. Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with effective time management and conflict resolution abilities. -Must be flexible and willing to take on unexpected and/or unanticipated assignments as needed. -Requires bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, psychology, or related field of study from an accredited university plus 5-8 of HR-related experience or in lieu of a degree, 9-12 years related HR experience. -Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. -SPHR or PHR certification is desirable. Experience implementing HR policies with U.S. Government company operations. Prior experience using a Human Resources Information System such as Talent Works. Knowledge of Bechtel policies and procedures is a plus. -Must be able to work effectively in an extremely fast-paced, high-energy environment.
