Tasks
-Provide project experience with environmental permitting (local, state, and federal) and compliance support for key segments of the infrastructure industry. -Coordinate interdisciplinary work teams and overall task management of field efforts for erosion control monitoring, wetland and stream delineations, and endangered species surveys and monitoring. -Talent development: Develop Staff skills and empowering them as problem-solvers boosts innovation and productivity. -Inspiring and encouraging employees to perform their best. -Mentor and direct junior environmental staff. -Serves as a Project Manager on small to midsize projects. -Control expenditures within limitations of project/task budget and monitor budget status. -Coming up with ideas to improve productivity of a specific team, department, group, or division. -Continues to manage staff with diverse skills and has a focus on supporting career path and technical growth. -Provide regular status and progress reports to the project manager and/or client. -Prepare scope and fee proposals. -Oversee the completion and management of the preparation of permit applications and associated environmental reporting. -Recruiting and retaining staff. -Serves as the leader of the environmental scope of project; receives administrative support and direction from Business Sector Leaders and higher-level officials of the Company. -Monitoring employee performance. -Oversee learning, coaching, and career progression. -Making sure that processes and procedures are in compliance with the overall organization’s guidelines. -Developing and implementing day-to-day routines for a team, department, group, or division. -Allocating resources within a team, department, group, or division. -Assigning and supervising specific work tasks. -Manage sub-consultants as required. -Conduct quality control reviews. -Provides oversight and coordination of project tasks; Available to junior staff for guidance; Provides opportunities to junior staff for becoming familiar with task management and financials; Working knowledge of project contract documents. -Interpreting the strategy of top-level management and translating it into everyday policies. -Initiates and manages client relationships; provide oversight and responsible for reviewing and approving all scopes; budgets; and schedules for all tasks of the overall projects; works with Task Managers to complete their assigned tasks; maintaining GAI’s procedures and protocols; responsible for all aspects of financials on projects. -Reporting issues and performance to top-level management. -Interface with customers as necessary to ensure customer needs are met. -Read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. -Routinely interacts with clients, customers, government officials, contractors, and others; leads project meetings and presentations; possess marketing and sales skills; represents Company in a positive light; interacts with Task Managers and Business Sector Leaders on a regular basis; attends meetings with higher-level officials of the company on project status including financials.

What You Bring
-Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) -Capable of managing project tasks. -Strategic thinking and alignment: Manager must understand broader organizational strategies and goals to effectively guide direct reports' efforts. -NEPA Initial Training and Categorical Exclusion Training with INDOT Section 7 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) -Well-being fostering: Prioritizing mental health, work-life integration and enhances retention. -Ability to demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills. -Technical understanding of natural resources and field assessment methodologies. -Completion or the ability to obtain within 6 months the following: -14+ Years of Experience -Experience in team leadership, staff mentoring, and project management -Experience with environmental permitting/consultations and regulatory agencies in Indiana and/or neighboring states. -Familiarity with INDOT Consultant Performance Evaluation criteria for Environmental Documents and NEPA-related Performance types. -Well-rounded with aspects of consulting, industry standards, and Company protocols. Position requires a commitment a strong emphasis on client development; participation in professional societies and industry associations is preferred. -Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or similar field of study
