Overview

Provide legal advice, draft/negotiate contracts, and manage risk for infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear -Monitor new legislation to identify potential areas of concern and the best solution to remedy such concern. -Prepare reports and legal opinions for the executive management. -Negotiate and prepare agreements with third parties to pursue joint interests. -The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit -Collaborate in the drafting, negotiation and management of complex contracts (such as concession contracts, design and build contracts, tolling services agreements, project finance contracts, etc.). -Assist with the management of claims, disputes and litigation. -Effectively manage tasks and deadlines independently -Analyze and manage the company’s risk exposure by reviewing contract documents to identify risk and the best solution(s) to mitigate such risk. -Productivity tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance your productivity and efficiency. -Review, maintain and update the company’s corporate documents to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements regarding corporate governance

What You Bring

-The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds -Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially within Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point -Must be able to multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment -Law Degree (J.D.) required -Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure -Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, as necessary to use a computer -Superior interpersonal communication, decision-making, project management and negotiating skills -Experience with project finance and firm-trained attorney preferred. -Bar License in US -3-5+ years of substantive experience in transactional practice areas of law and litigation, ideally with experience in the transportation infrastructure industry
