Tasks

-Ensuring permit compliance - by conducting site inspections and audits, you will be assessing the operator’s ability to protect the environment, prevent pollution and optimise resources. -Works in teams to support colleagues to achieve common goals. -Working with other regulatory bodies, authorities, and other stakeholders. -The post-holder will also be expected to take part in our assessment of and response to environmental incidents. -Undertaking appropriate enforcement and remediation action to a range of non-compliances and environmental incidents at permitted sites. -Analysis and interpretation of environmental monitoring and performance data. -Dealing with people at all levels within industry, local communities and other interested groups.

What You Bring

-A proven track record of taking initiative and using a continuous improvement approach. -Experience in delivering environmental improvements using a range of tools. -Excellent influencing skills and success in developing good relations in complex environments. -You will hold an honours degree (or equivalent), ideally in a science or engineering discipline. -Significant regulatory or equivalent industrial experience across a range of industries. -Ability to manage multiple demands on time in a prioritised manner to achieve outcomes and deliver against plans. -Using your influencing and negotiating skills to ensure best practice.
